Laura Kowalewski

Co-founder/Co-Director/Choreographer/Dancer for Ballet Deviare.
Laura Kowalewski has previously trained as a scholarship student with the Boston Ballet School, The Atlanta Ballet School, The Pennsylvania Ballet School and The Sarasota Ballet Theater. She has previously performed with regional ballet companies.
Kowalewski holds a B.S. degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a M.A. degree from The State University of New York at New Paltz.
Laura is also a Personal Trainer and Wellness Coach.

Mission Statement

Producing thought provoking and original works which illustrate the human condition... Ballet Deviare was founded in 2003 and is located in New York City. Unbound by restrictive standards of tradition, Ballet Deviare was created and founded by Laura Kowalewski (Co-Director and Choreographer) and Andrew Carpenter (Co-Director) with the intention of broadening the scope of dance, while providing audiences with original choreographic works.
